Glamis Castle is a family home, a historic building, a visitor attraction, noted garden, a retailer and forms part of Strathmore Estates. There is always something going on and we would like to use this area of the website to share some of these with you.
And the emphasis is on share – we really want to hear about your experience of Glamis, see your photos and videos too!
In this area you will get the chance to meet Bob - the unpleasant pheasant - who guards his territory in the castle grounds by chasing all those who dare to turn up in a red car! Read about staff stories and castle news will give you an insight into the many personalities that go to make up the team of staff, and the many fascinating experiences they bring with them.

The threatened and indigenous red squirrel still thrives at Glamis; and with a little patience they can be seen at several places around the grounds.
July 26th commemorates 60 years of castle opening to the public. The first 60 people will be charged at the 1950 rate of 2/6 (12 pence).
We are celebrating the centenary year of The Italian Garden at Glamis in 2010.
Tickets are available to purchase now for Halloween. This event sells very quickly all tickets were sold by mid September last year. Avoid disappointment and book now.
